Christopher Ochoa

I’m Christopher Ochoa, an aerospace engineer and graduate researcher at the University of Oklahoma. Originally from McAllen, Texas, I came to OU six years ago to study aerospace engineering and have loved calling Oklahoma home ever since.

When I’m not in the lab, I’m usually outside. I grew up hunting and fishing in South Texas, and I still spend as much time as I can camping, traveling, hiking, and exploring new places. Whether it’s Big Bend National Park, the Devil’s River, fly fishing in the Colorado backcountry, or a weekend camping trip, I enjoy any excuse to be outdoors. My black Lab, Ozzy, is usually along for the adventure.

I’m also always training for something. I enjoy CrossFit, running, HYROX, and endurance sports, and I’m currently training for my first Ironman 70.3. I enjoy setting big goals and working toward them one day at a time.

Above all, my Christian faith is the foundation of my life. I strive to serve God by serving the people around me, and I hope to approach every opportunity with humility, integrity, and a willingness to help others.
